We are delighted that ‘Living with Parkinson’s’ a one hour documentary produced by Telemark USA which features our founder Mags Mullarney and our ‘Voices of Hope’ choir will be screened on RTE 1 on Wednesday 15th April.

As described by PBS Network, ‘Living with Parkinson’s is: A documentary that looks into the lives of extraordinary people who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease, an extremely debilitating neurological affliction that effects millions of people worldwide. This film follows a group of Parkinson’s patients from Ireland who, in addition to traditional medicine, choose to combat the progression of the disease through singing, dance and positive thinking. There is no cure for Parkinson’s Disease today, but the indomitable spirit of this incredible group of people is both inspirational and up lifting.

In October 2013, Mags and our ‘Voices of Hope’ choir were interviewed at the World Parkinson’s Congress in Montreal by Telemark Films for a documentary for PBS Network USA. Telemark were so enthralled by Move4Parkinsons’ energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude, they followed us back to Ireland to learn more about our work!

We hope that the screening of the documentary will raise awareness of Parkinson’s in Ireland, highlight the challenges faced by those who have Parkinson’s and their families and prove the huge amount that can be achieved through hope, determination and a total commitment to finding the best ways to live well with Parkinson’s today.

Move4Parkinson’s depends heavily on donations. With your help, we can continue to provide support and information to people with Parkinson’s and empower them to improve their quality of life. If you are in a position to give a financial donation, we would be very grateful. Please click on the donation link at the top of the page to choose your preferred payment option.
