Get Active This May

Get Active This May

So, I realise that the recent weather hasn’t been exercise friendly, but there are still two weeks to go before the Lord Mayor’s “Get Active” Challenge on the 27th May. That’s plenty of time to psyche yourself up for a non-competitive fun day of exercise come sun, rain or snow! If your exercise routine has taken a back seat for a while or maybe you didn’t have one to begin with, well now is your chance to resurrect it or better still, kick start a new one.

On the 27th May at 11.00 in St. Anne’s Park, Raheny, Dublin 3, the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Andrew Montague is challenging everyone to “get active” for two hours by taking part in a 5km walk, run or cycle. It’s a non competitive challenge so you can go as fast or as slow as you wish. More details can be found on

The mayor has also kindly chosen Move4Parkinson’s as the event’s beneficial charity. But apart from the exercise it will also be a great social event and a chance to meet the crew of Move4Parkinson’s as we will be there doing our bit of exercise.

So, if you’d like to join us for a fun day of exercise, please visit the above website to register your details. We hope to see you there!!
