Suzanne is the director of the Exercise Class held in Newcastle Parish Centre in Wicklow, which meets every Thursday at 3.30. Suzanne set up the class in 2017 following a request by the Wicklow choir for an exercise class specifically for them to be set up

Suzanne is a chartered physiotherapist and works full time for the HSE. Suzanne has specialised in the Care of the Older Person since the year 2000, and has presented at conferences, and is trained in the delivery of exercise classes for the older person.  Suzanne has always had a specific interest in Parkinsons Disease, and is a member of the National physiotherapist special interest group in Parkinsons.

Suzanne is supported in delivering the classes by Ada Bateman who is a nurse by profession, previously of St. Vincents University Hospital, Clinical nurse manager, but has been employed in the HSE vaccination programme since the launch of the COVID vaccines. Ada has is also trained in the PD warrior programme.

As well as the benefit of exercising, the combined approach of the 2 different professions, enables weekly advice and support for the participants and relatives.
